Privacy Policy (Pilot Draft)

GoodLoop is designed to be auditable, privacy-preserving, and grant-compatible by default.

1. Data Minimization

GoodLoop is designed to operate with the absolute minimum amount of data required to verify a redemption. We do not require account creation, phone numbers, or social media profiles.

2. What We Collect

  • Email Address: Used solely to generate a unique session for redemption approval.
  • Location Data: Used only to verify you are at the participating business at the time of the scan. We do not track your background location.
  • Redemption Logs: Time and location of the redemption request and whether it was approved by the business.

3. Data Retention

Personal identifiers (such as the email address used for a session) are hashed or purged after the pilot period ends, unless required for ongoing coordination with the participating business.

4. Third Parties

We do not sell data. We do not share data with advertisers. Participating businesses receive logs of redemptions occurring at their physical location to ensure operational accuracy.
