Data Governance & Usage

GoodLoop is designed to be auditable, privacy-preserving, and grant-compatible by default.

GoodLoop operates on a "Privacy by Design" framework, specifically structured for civic and municipal transparency.

Measurement Discipline

Our goal is to verify community impact without surveillance. We measure:

  • Total redemption volume per location (Aggregated).
  • Peak usage times to help businesses manage inventory.
  • System latency and reliability metrics.

Civic Transparency

Grant reviewers and city officials can request access to anonymized impact reports. These reports demonstrate the flow of resources to local businesses and the frequency of community service without exposing individual participant identities.

Audit Trails

Every redemption generates a permanent, cryptographically signed log entry. This ensures that funds or rewards are distributed as intended, providing high-integrity proof of work for pilot coordinators.

Security Baseline

We maintain a security-first posture, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.3).
  • Anonymization of PII after 24 hours for pilot redemptions.
  • Regular institutional audits of our logging infrastructure.
